Last Weekend

The day didn't start off as well as it normally did. My pay check was an ignored question, due two months.
I had a Buffet Voucher, we utilized it to get out of the blues.

We reached Hilton, The buffet looked pretty cramped. The first thing I wanted to take was some bread with Soup, but the soup looked bland. So I started with main course perhaps tempted for Dessert. So I ate *that Pic*. Choices were less. Bland Soybean-Tikki, poorly-fried rice and my baby "Fried Fish".
The Vegetarian's choice.

Darshan tried everything he could get his hands on, Beef, Barbecued Honey-Chicken, Soup, Salad, Some more chicken Salad..
The Non- Vegetarian's delight.
Then came another plate.

Then it was my chance to enjoy the Desserts. hurrah..

The Sweet Tooth's Fairy.

Followed by a stroll under sunlight in an early-winter walk near the infinity pool where our hearts were light enough to proceed to our next destination.

What makes your heart skip a beat?
What makes you wake up with some energy, every morning, to get all dressed up?

It is being in love!!

When I started dating Darshan, we already knew each other for a few years, but we were more or less strangers.
We both loved and still do...discovering new music, books, and technology.

My heart used to skip a beat with every e-mail notification.
I used to wait for a weekend so that I can flutter my eyelashes.

In couple of years, we were married, and it has been two months since I am married.
People often scare me that in few months you will lose the charm of getting back home from office, or you will lose the charm of cooking your best dish for him.
So far, he is still the one who has answers to all my questions. The way it has been going on, I know that he is and will be the best thing of the day.

It is just a frustrating day in office and I am missing him.

Source Urban dictionary:
**Missing Someone isn't about how long its been since you've seen them last or the amount of time since you last talked.
It's about that very moment when you are doing something and you wish they were right there with you.**

Somebody that you used to know...

“we accept the love we think we deserve.”
― Stephen ChboskyThe Perks of Being a Wallflower

FAITH.

You put your faith in people, places, and yourself and it breaks in a day.

SPOILER ALERT!! No it does not.
Fidelity is crushed over a course of time, you see the signs but you ignore because you accept the love, ignorance, lies, that you think you deserve.
You see the relationship slipping out of your hands perhaps you wait for the day when you will be paralyzed and will be left with absolutely no vanity. That my friend is a very stereotypical issue.

I see girls and guys with a broken heart everywhere, but girls get more condolences not because they cry more or they suffer more perhaps are judged more. A dear friend of mine recently got dumped. She was head over heels crazy for the guy. College sweethearts, years of relationship and then the girl finds out that the guy has been dating another girl. Every time she met me, she used to cry, either because the guy didn't pick up her phone after she tried calling him for 50 times in a row, or the guy fought with her because she didn't call him for 50 times in a row.
I knew it from the very beginning that the guy was scandalous. I am sure all of you know such girls and guys. You might be one of them.

Why do You bury your head in sand when you see all these signs, and when do You actually realize that everything the guy did was a sign that he never loved You.
Signs such as:

  • You call him and he won't pick up your call, reason: busy with friends, family, meetings, matches. He calls you, you are not able to pick up, reason: taking a bath. The guy blasts, abuse you, shout at you, and then you end up saying sorry( applause, you are sorry for  taking a bath...) and he disconnects the call, you call him back and he won't pick up your call for a long time.
  • You want to meet him and he  is busy with a lot of forthcoming jobs, you accept and  stay back home. He wants to meet you and  you want to stay back home to tranquilize or something, he will go ballistic again. And then you lie to your family and friends and manage to hang out with him.

Giving your friends the lucidity that even you do not trust,  Lying to everyone around you to keep that one person happy and  the guy keeps tormenting you howbeit you are still willing to be in your comfort zone, on the grounds that you are too scared to step out of that zone.
You are too scared of the void in your life where you cannot call someone in the middle of the night and  talk nonsense. As a matter of fact, even the guy you are dating might not entertain your mid night calls most of the time.
Indian girls are mostly worried that now that they have already lost the physical and social dignity, will they be approved by the society. As a matter of fact, the society is bothered, they need something to babble about.
Suggestion: Girls should dump the guys at the first sign of deception. May be not first but at least at the first sign of  repetitive idiosyncrasy.

To thank god, I married the love of my life, but i can very well relate myself to all the girls out there, because like any other relationship , me and husband were sceptical if the society or family will accept us or not. We didn't want to lead each other on the road where we will be deserted, but we were late to think so. We were already in love; however we tried calling it off, but the pain was so strong , the pain of feeling the void in your body, heart, mind, life, every friggin thing. Imagining the pain last for days, months, gives me shivers, when i could not handle the pain for more than few hours.
I want every guy in this world to be like my husband when it comes to relationships. Honest!

How to enjoy Shimla?

Not a very catchy title it is? But I make sure it will be useful for all those who are planning a weekend getaway.

December 2009 and  October 2012.
Both these seasons are a good time to see the best of it.
If you are tired of waiting for Winters to knock on your door, visit Shimla in October.
If you are looking for adventure in Snow, Visit Shimla after 25th December.

Way to reach Shimla: (I will not riddle up this blog with Kms and  things you can find on tourism websites)

Toy Train, the best way to reach Shimla, 103 tunnels and a long 5 hour journey that give you plenty of opportunity to click pictures.
From Delhi, catch a  Night Train- Kalka Mail{ do not forget to check the train time before reaching the station, it is supposed to be late , being a Mail train and of course, Indian Railways Zindabad). This train is supposed to depart at 09: 40 pm from Old Delhi station, platform no 5.
Arrives Kalka ( Haryana) at 04: 30 am.

From there, you can either take a General compartment Ticket for Rs 30 to Shimla, for the Toy Train that leaves at 05:30 and 06 :00 am. Else , try your luck to get a booking done, well, in advance.
The train is Kalka-Shimla Express.
If you do not get a reservation confirmed, tickets are in waiting list, buy a general compartment ticket ( Girls, use you power, get ahead in line and form or Join a separate women queue, else you will wait in a long queue). Wait, there is more to it, Now you have to find the T.T to give you a reservation for 160/- more. This takes a lot of begging, frustrated T.T trying to escape your howling and a lot of Indian Jugaadbaazi.
Finally You  get the seats and the journey begins.

Each compartment has 15 seats, it is a chair car. Two doors, halts for 1 minute on 7-8 stations.
Take your water bottle and something healthy to eat,  stations in the way, do have eatables but things like Bread Pakora and  Cutlets.
Enjoy the 5 hour journey to Shimla.

Once you reach Shimla, you will find a lot of Men trying to approach you for Taxi, DO NOT follow them.
Take the road with a man , who asks you  if you need Hotels, they are closer, to mall road, and every other good place.

Talk to him about , Hotel and Tour-Taxi. Tour Taxi will cost you 1000-1500 ( Alto) . If you are a gang, take n Innova, it costs 2000.

Take a Tour to Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Annadale, Mata Vishnu Mandir, Kufri (Horse Riding).
In Kufri, Spend a little extra on horse riding, Take the one and half hour tour, for 150/-that takes you to Golgi, a beautiful and a little scary way on horse back. It is head of the Kufri Maggi Point.
In Kufri, Visit the Jammu and Kashmir Handloom shop, near the adventure park, to shop for some Pashmeena quilts, They have a home delivery option too.

Come back to Shimla, Go to Mall Road, the shops are closed on Sunday.
Check out the Shops, they have good stuff, do not go to the Monastery that is near mall road, they have one of the oldest collection in a Monastery , that I have seen.
If you are visiting in winters, make sure you go to Ice Skating Ground.

Shimla is not breath taking beauty, but it is fun.
